Words of Wisdom from a Member
Angela is a new member passionate about personal growth and nature walks.
What practical mental health advice would you like to share?
“Your mind isn't your enemy - it's scared. It can't understand everything that life has in it. You gotta accept that life isn't meant to be understood. Everybody's different. There's nothing wrong with that. So advocate for yourself and educate yourself - you have to start with you. Your mind isn't your enemy. You just gotta understand it better.”

Thoughts on Supporting Each Other
Ashley is a member who is passionate about dry humor and encouraging others. Working together as a community, Ashley led the mixing of paint to support member engagement in our first mural project.
What did you receive from your participation in supporting this collective effort?
“I would say my part in this whole mural with mixing the paints gave me a sense of creativity, a sense of purpose, and a sense of unity. It helped me realize that there is more than one size of a hand, and each hand as a leaf reflects an important part of the Clubhouse.”
What future group projects would you like to do?
“I would like to see a long pathway, because that's what we're on. We're on a path to becoming better selves and to open up our minds and our eyes to the universe and what it has to offer. But we have to take the first step, and that's something that we should all be striving for is taking the first step on that pathway.”
